5 – And from him from Safwan from al-`Ala from Muhammad b. Muslim from one of the two of them عليهما السلام.
He said: I asked him about the water of the hammam. So he said: Enter it with an izar, and do not do ghusl from other water unless there is a junub in it or its people are many so you do not know whether there is a junub in it or not.

I say: The Shaykh interpreted it to be upon the absence of a continuous increase. And likelier than it is his interpretation of being upon the permissibility of doing ghusl with other water at that time, and the disappearance of condemnation of doing ghusl with other water. Rather, this is its very meaning, when it has no indication of najasa that it would require the interpretation. The author of al-Muntaqa and other than him have mentioned it.

[371] 5 ـ وعنه، عن صفوان، عن العلاء، عن محمد بن مسلم، عن أحدهما ( عليهما السلام )، قال: سألته عن ماء الحمام؟ فقال: ادخله بإزار، ولا تغتسل من ماء اخر، إلا أن يكون فيهم جنب، أو يكثرأهله فلا تدري فيهم جنب أم لا.

أقول: حمله الشيخ على عدم المادة، وأقرب منه حمله على جواز الاغتسال بغير مائه حينئذ، وزوال مرجوحية الإغتسال بماء آخر، بل هذا عين مدلوله، إذ لا دلالة له على النجاسة حتى يحتاج إلى التأويل، ذكره صاحب المنتقى، وغيره.
