It was narrated to me by Jaʿfar bin Moḥammed bin Masrūr, who said – it was narrated to me by al-Ḥassan bin Moḥammed bin ʿĀmir, from his uncle ʿAbd Allāh bin ʿĀmir, from Moḥammed bin ‘Ismāʿīl, from ʿAlī bin al-Ḥakam, from Dāwūd al-ʿAjali, from Abī Baṣīr:

From Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, who said: Whoever performs ablution (wudhu) and mentions the name of Allāh – all his body is purified, and from one ablution to another abulition, it becomes an atonement from what is between them from the sins; and whoever does not mention his name, his body does not purify – except for what was touched by water.
