My father رحمه الله said, it was narrated to us by Saʿd bin ʿAbd Allāh, from Aḥmed bin Moḥammed, from al-Ḥussain ibn Sayf, from Sulaymān bin ʿUmar, who said – it was narrated to us by ʿImrān bin ʿAṭṭā, who said – it was narrated to me by ʿAṭṭā, from ibn Idrīs:

From The Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وآله, who said: “There is no speech from speeches that is more beloved to Allāh, Mighty and Majestic, than the saying ‘There is no god but Allāh’. There is no servant [of Allāh] who says ‘There is no god but Allāh’ and raises his voice, except that [by the time] he completes [saying it], his sins strew under his feet, just as tree-leaves strew in front of it (the tree).”
