Thawāb al-Aʿmāl, Reward for whoever says: “There is no god but Allāh” (Lā Ilāha Ila Allāh) with sincerity – Ḥadīth #4

And with this chain, from Sulaymān bin ʿUmar, who said – it was narrated to me by Zaydbin Rāfiʿ, who said – it was narrated to me by Zur bin Ḥabīsh, who said – I heard Ḥudhayfa say:

[The phrase] ‘There is no god but Allāh’ continues to push away the anger of Allāh, His Majesty be Exalted, from the servants [of Allāh] while they do not care from what is lacking in their worldly life as long as their religion (dīn) is secure. However, if they did not care about what is lacking in their religion, as long as their worldly life is secure – and then they said it (the phrase), it is returned back upon them (i.e. rejected), and it is said to them: “You lied, and you are not truthful in it.”

From Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, who said: “Whoever says There is no god but Allāh’ with sincerity, enters Paradise. [The meaning of] his sincerity in it is that [the phrase] There is no god but Allāh’ keeps him away from what Allāh has forbidden.”
