Tafsīr al-ʿAyyāshi: And from Moḥammed bin ʿAlī al-Ḥalabi:

From Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, whereupon he would recite: The owner1 of the Day of Resurrection.

1. This is regarding the different readings (qirā’āt) of the Āyah (1:3). Here, the narration indicates that the Imām recited it as Māliki instead of Malaki. Māliki linguistically means owner, while Malaki means king. See next narration in this chapter to see the Imām recite it as Maliki.

عن محمد بن علي الحلبي ، عن أبي عبد الله ( عليه السلام ) أنه كان يقرأ : * ( مالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ) * .
